Harry Yuan is a powerhouse producer/shooter/editor. He has mad chops behind the camera, and is an unmistakeable on camera personality as well. He’s got it all.
I worked with him and his sister Jennifer Martin (an incredible producer) on multiple projects when I lived in San Francisco.
I learned a ton from them about making a project succinct, approachable, and exactly what their clients needed.
The creativity was wrapped up in authenticity, an approach that I still sync with to the present day.
These are a selection of works that I contributed to. At times, a DP, manhandling all the imagery. At times, a camera op, making sure that I gave them the footage they needed, and at times, an AC, picking up slack wherever I could to make the shoot as smooth as possible.

Double H aligned with Whole Foods to showcase some of their local providers making their products. Thee Twins Ice Cream was gracious enough to host, and we moseyed up to Petaluma and watched them work!
They booked me as an AC. On these small, tactical camera squads, that really boils down to staging and making sure that we never lost a step or got too spread out.

Double H introduced me to the wild world of Kickstarter Videos. San Francisco is known for its innovation, and people push their products at every opportunity. Kickstarter gave people the opportunity to launch that hadn’t existed before, and we were there to make sure they were seen.
Use-case videos are crazy powerful, and showing someone gear in action really drives the point home on how effective it can be!
Blackbird ukulele
I helped Harry on this one by providing camera support in the shop. We got footage of them fabricating their ukulele, piece by piece. These are always fascinating, very “How It’s Made”. The clever part was when they sent off the uke in a cluster of balloons, floating it across the city and right into the hands of the customer!
